20101219 - Unexpected Guest

Setting

LaFontain Condominiums: Lobby - Lincoln Park: East Lawn

The decor of the lobby preceding LaFountain Condominiums is true to its namesake. Blue and green alternating tiles checker-board the floors, their surface slightly rough and pitted, providing a water-like appearance that also serves to give traction to wet or smooth soled shoes. The walls alternate mirrors with blue wall-space, each section an arm-span wide under the high ceiling. Two small waterfalls tumble down from brassy fittings on either side of the front doors, the mirrors behind them making the thin sheets of water appear as deep cascades. The center of the room bears a fountain as well, a small cherub wrangling a salmon larger than itself, water spurting from the fish's mouth to splash in the six-foot wide "wishing pool" below.
At the far end of the lobby is the clerk's desk, an array of brass mailboxes arranged behind. Off to one side of the desk is the elevator up to the higher floors, while a hallway reaches into the depths of the building on the desk's other side.

Cast

Scene

Javier is nude as he walks in the living room. He then hears a buzz "Eh what? Who is it?" The door man then says "Sir you have a visitor?" Javier seems confused "Hehe I do… let me guess female?" The door man says "Yes. Though we are talking jail bait here?" Javier is more confused cause that can't be Lee even though Lee looks and acts young. Lee has a key here "As much as I like suprises let me speak to who it is." The door man then brings you to the intercom.

Noelle is giving the doorman plenty of attitude and rolls her eyes in that particularly teenager way when he hands over the intercom to speak. The outfit she wears is not particularly helpful in the jailbait side of things, the tight jeans hugging her ass while she leans on the doorman's desk, peering at her reflection in the glass there. "Hey, Jav, let me up. It's Noelle. Dad said you were expecting me."

"Noel?" Javier shakes his head. He knows he told his brother that Noelle can cover over any time but still a not a phonecall would have been nice "Hey Noel been a while um give me five minutes ok? Need me to bring up your luggage and stuff if you have any?"

"Noelle." The correction of her name holds a full amount of irritation, and the doorman gets a narrow-eyed look, "I can carry my bag, it isn't big. You coming down to get me or should I get the stiff to buzz me up?" With a typical seventeen year old's ability, she makes the phrase sound as if it means something else entirely.

Javier wanted to buzz her up but the way she made it sound he sighs and says "I will be done in five minutes." He then shuts off the intercom. He now sighs again "Great just great the only thing Sidney was good for was washing my clothes. So of course yesterday she was supposed to do the laundry but she is gone." Javier goes to through his dirty laundry "Have not had to reverse the draws sense my bachleor days." He now puts on clothing, blue jeans and a black t-shirt. He then goes down the elevator to get his cousin with no shoes or socks on.

His cousin is leaning against the desk, giving the doorman a steady stare, her face relatively expressionless, unless bored counts. Javier's arrival stops the staring match and she turns, some of the cool dropping in a brief, broad grin, that is squashed as soon as it shows. "Hey coz." Cool as a cucumber, she strolls towards him, her backpack over her shoulder, a sway in her hips. "You took your time."

Javier looks her over "One second Noel. We need to take you shopping or something cause you clearly are not fully clothed." He thanks the doorman and now looks to walk her to the elevator "So is every thing ok. How are you Mom and Dad doing?" He then suddnely gives you a big hug "Wow can't believe it is you." Yeah a delayed happy reaction. He now puts her down "What the hell are you doing here? Not that you are not welcomed."

The comment about her clothes gets him a serious stare before Noelle strolls to the elevator, her grin returning at the hug, and she returns that seriously enough. "Everything's cool. Dad's got a stick up his arse over some hassle I got into. You didn't get his letter?" A flicker of anxiety shoots through the brown eyes, before the cool and bravado returns. She slides her hands into her back pockets, rolling her shoulders back. "Nothing major, he is over reacting."

Living Room - Condo 1C - LaFontain Condos - Lincoln Park: East Lawn(#3105RAJM)

After entering the Condo, you arrive in a small foyer area. To the right of the door is a small coat closet. And to the left, on the same wall as the door is on, seems to be an alarm panel. The flooring, like the rest of the condo, is all hardwood flooring. The living room is arranged in the standard U shape. With the Sofa in the center, the love seat on the right, and the chair on the left. All are black leather, with white stitching. Between the sofas and chairs sit end tables, with glass lamps. They are actually see through, though all of them seem to have seashells in them. In front of the sofa, is a nice coffee table. Atop it, is a couple magazines, the days news paper, and one remote control. To the left is a door leading to the bedroom, and another leading to the Study. On the right are two open entrance ways into one leading into the dining room, the other to the kitchen.

Javier shakes he his head "No letter. Now a couple of days before and after the fullmoon we are going to have to set you up in a hotel room. But we have plenty of time to plan that out." He points to the study "That is where you will be staying." He then points the bedroom "That is where me and the rest of the Pride stay."

"Full moon? Oh yeah, I forgot…" She drops her backpack on the floor by her feet, giving him a long considering look. "Why'd I have to stay in a hotel? I don't mind hanging out with you guys when you're furry…" There is the tiniest whiny edge to that sentence, and she shifts, resting her weight on one leg, a curve to her hip.

Javier shakes her head "What is with this? Your ass is hanging out of your clothing and now you are giving me some hip action here?" He sighs "No wonder bro sent you to me. Noel you are only sixteen, enjoy your youth while you can. Act eighteen at eighteen. And no you can't hang out with us during the fullmoon tension get high and violence can happen. We can heal quickly you can't."

"Seventeen." The correction is sharp and he gets a glower, narrowing her eyes at him. "And my ass is not hanging out. See, they hit my waist…" She turns, showing that the material does indeed technically cover it, however tightly. "God, I only agreed to come here because I thought you weren't going to be a stiff like Dad. Seems like you really are." Petulance at it's very best. "Guess I can have some real fun in the hotel when you are off being furry…."

Javier chuckles "Well sucks to be you cause I am going to be worst then your dad. And don't joke, I do have steel bars in the basement of my brick house. Don't have me throw you in there with food and water for three days and a bucket for you to store the food and water after you are done. I expect you to be a good girl, and I have the ability to know when you lie. Good girl Noel gets have to have freedom and a flexible uncle. Bad girl Noelle get to have a lot of reflection time in the basement. Now are you hungry at all?"

The glare he holds the full force of her temper, and she shifts her hands to her hips, straightening to her full height. "Wow, you've turned into a real tight ass." The comment is spoken in a tone of mock admiration, her eyes narrowed with her head cocked to one side. "Yeah, I'm starving." She turns, reaching to grab up her backpack and move it into the study. "You can tell if I'm lying for real?"

Javier nods "Yes as a therian my senses are far improved above those of any human. So I can see the subtle diffence in the face when a person a lying. More then just face too, the slightest shift in stance one goes into when they lie, hell even the way they breath before and after telling a lie." He now goes to the fridge "And there are other ways I am not telling you. In case you try to lie me while sitting down and having your back to me." He opens the fridge then slams it." He then gives you a dumb grin "Um… what ever you do. Do not drink the the milk in that is in the two blue containers in the back. So I guess that throws out cereal, want pancakes?"

Noelle is staring at him, eyes wide. "Wow that is so cool…" She draws out the word, leaning in the doorway of the kitchen, watching thoughtfully. "What is in the blue containers? Pancakes are alright. You seriously didn't get his letter?" The corners of her mouth tug up, mischief brewing in her face. "I can hit the high points for you. There isn't a need to call him up. Phones off anyhow." A blatant lie, but quite a good one if she wasn't lying to a werelion.

Javier chuckles "Yeah that right, why should I look to talk to my own brother about his daughter that has suddenly moved in. Oh please even if I was not a therian no way I am not talking to my brother. Besides I am sure he would want to know you are here and safe." He now opens a draw and takes out pancake mix "How many pancakes should I fix you, two or three. I warn you I do make them pretty big and thick." Javier also avoided answering what is in the containers.

The petulance returns, almost to the level of sulkiness, her lower lip sticking out slightly, eyebrows drawing down. "God." All the petulance in a single word, before she shakes her head, "Two. I'm starving." The blue containers aren't forgotten by the gaze wandering to the fridge. "It wasn't my fault. I bet both of you have done things just as stupid." The two lines contradict each other almost precisely as she moves casually towards the fridge.

Javier shakes his head "You have parents and gurdians so you can avoid and learn from the mistakes we made not for you to follow in our footsteps." He see you going to the fridge then says "It is breast milk… happy? That is what is in the containers. It is healtheir and better tasting then what comes from cows."

"I bet you listened to your parents, and you aren't my guardian." Sharp enough, and the startled look on her face is almost comical, her nose screwing up in disgust. "Breast milk? For sure? Gross." She searches the fridge for juice despite that, ignoring the blue containers.

"I was not you gurdian twenty minutes ago. I sure as hell am now." Javier is now done making the pancake mix and puts it on the frying pan "Now you did come at a decent time cause winter break is about here, meaning we can set up for highschool when the break is done with out any delays."

The juice gets swigged from the bottle, as she straightens, slamming the fridge door and leaning against it, to give him a glower. "Man, you do have a stick up your arse. I don't see the point in high school. Thought I'd get a job instead, or just hang out." She puts the bottle down on the side, turning to hop up to sit next to it, swinging her legs.

Javier phone rings "Oh damn… that meeting." He flips over the pancakes and then knocks on the bedroom door "Isabel… you awake… can you get out here? I need you to look over someone for a little while."

Isabel is up and about, and comes out a moment later. She smiles as she looks over to Javier, "Good morning, how are you doing today?" She looks over to Noelle, "Hello, I am Isabel."

"I totally don't need looking after." The protest is petulant and irritated, from the girl sitting on the kitchen side, bottle of orange juice in hand. "Hi Isabel. I'm Noelle." She stresses the ending of her name, giving Javier a quick glower. "And I totally don't need babysitting."

Javier looks to Isabel "She knows we are therian lions. So no need to worry about that. She had a lot of attitude and is a good kid at heart. She is just… well… a teenager." He then looks to Noelle "Oh Noelle I was one time worried about having a war with another group decided an advatage for us would be to be able to track down our enemies mysticaly so we could hunt them down where they lived if needed. To sum things up… if you run away… we can find you." He now gives her a kiss on the head "I would see be good but that is not going to happen just try and not be too bad till I return at least?" He looks to Isabel "Thanks a ton got a meeting I do not want to miss catch you later." He then looks to Noelle "Oh and that tracking thing is a secret do not tell others about it."

Isabel smiles as she nods her head slightly, "Well, I will see you around later then." She looks over to Noelle, "Well you can not be as bad as he makes it sound? So what brings you over here?"

"God." Heartfelt frustration and irritation, as the girl folds her arms across her chest and gives Javier a good, hard glower. "Pancakes are burning." She observes, her tone snarky, with that odd tight smile teenagers do so well. "So, are you his girlfriend?" Ignoring Javier is supposed to show him something, apparently, so she turns her attention to Isabel. "My dad thought I needed a holiday. To keep me out of bad company." The explanation is close enough to the edge of a lie.

Javier is not effected by Noelle ignoring him, hell he has received death threats from Eric as well as other lions. He has been prepared well to deal with a teenager. He walks out the door but before closing it says "She is a Vega… and we are bad to the bone." He then qoutes the song "Ba ba baaad, bad to the bone." He then waves and walks out.

Isabel looks her over wonder for a moment as she considers that. "Out of bad company? So what sort of things have you been doing? You two make it sounds like you are in a gang or something." She looks her over again checking for tattoos or weird piercings.

Noelle rolls her eyes, giving the closing door a stare with narrowed eyes. "Speak for yourself!" She returns her gaze to Isabel, her questions bringing the return of the bravado. "God, nothing that bad. He is exaggerating. He doesn't even know what happened." She makes a small shrug, pulling a face. "I get bought home once by the police and my dad gets a stick up his arse."

Isabel laughs lightly as she walks over to the stove, and gets the pancakes off, "I wonder if his call was that important or you just distracted him so much that he forgot." She gets two plates out and sets them on the table. "What did the police catch you doing?"

"Nothing much." The bravado slips and she grins, a broad, cocky grin, "Just climbing out of some guy's window with some of his gear." Noelle shrugs, dismissing the poor man as she jumps from the side. "He wasn't expecting me." The pancakes get a look of definite interest, "So what do you do? Are you Javier's girlfriend?"

Isabel smiles as she shakes her head, "You got arrested for that? He must of had something worth while for you to risk going to jail over something that silly." She sits down at the table, "I guess you could say I am his girlfriend. Though I wouldn't say that is what I do around here. I am the prides lawyer, as well as the Priestess of the pride."

Noelle settles at the table, drawing her leg up to rest her heel on the chair, her arm around it. "Priestess? Cool…" She draws the word out, giving Isabel a look of interest. "I wasn't arrested. Just taken home, like some kind of kid." The disgust in her voice is echoed in her face, "What does a priestess do?"

Isabel laughs softly as she looks you over, "Well it is probably good that you were just brought home. It saves you all the problems that would of came from actually being arrested. Though being young only gets you out of crime for so long." She smiles gently, "I can speak with and summon spirits."

"That is so cool!" Enthusiasm for the woman's abilities get her past the crime of calling the teenager young. "So, when we're done eating, mind if I slope out and take a look around?" Her voice is oh so casual, her expression pure innocence, as she widens her eyes slightly to add to it before clearing her plate with a final bite.

Isabel smiles as she nods her head, "Sure, I don't mind at all. Just don't get into to much trouble. I wouldn't want to have to go and get you out of jail." She laughs softly as she takes a bite of her pancake.

"Fab, you rock!" The enthusiasm for that might be more than is reasonable and Noelle takes her plate to the sink, rinsing it off. "I'll do the dishes when I get back, honest." She is heading for her backpack in the study to grab her coat and some cash. "Uh, what time do I need to be back? Do you guys do like regular meal times?" She is asking as she shrugs into her coat, eager to be gone.

Isabel smiles as she shakes her head, "Not really. You are old enough to cook, so whenever you get home, you can go ahead and make yourself something. If you happen to catch someone else cooking they might make you something too, though who knows." She smiles as she looks you over, "Don't forgot. Javier was serious about being able to track you no matter where you go. Though I am sure he wouldn't be to happy if he has to actually do it."

Noelle turns, sliding hands into her pockets, her broad grin making her look her age, despite the makeup and attitude. "No problem, I'm not planning on hiding from him. Might be helpful if I get lost. Thanks Isabel!" That said, she turns to the door, her step jaunty, quick, and keen, and she is gone with a bang of the door.

Isabel smiles as she waves to you, "I will see you later on then. Hopefully without a police escourt on your way home." She laughs lightly as she finishes her pancakes.

Burger Tzar - Home of the 'Whammer.' An all beef patty, grilled to perfection, topped with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and served on a sesame seed bun. Would you like fries with that? No problem. How about Tzar sizing that meal… it's only a few cents more?

This establishment is the standard build of a fast-food place; a counter with highlighted menu for ordering, a few laminated tables and booths with attached metal chairs. Not exactly 'fine dining,' but hey… it's cheap, quick, and mostly clean. Equipped with a drive-thru, it's a handy place to swing by for a bite on the go. And remember… "It's your way, right now" at Burger Tzar.

Oh what a coincidence Javier and Isabel just happen to be in the area. Javier is just happening to look around with an angry look on his face.

Isabel smiles as she walks into the place with javier, not seeming nearly as upset. Probably because she doesn't see it as a big deal.

Noelle is settled at a table, a milkshake in front of her, talking to a teenaged boy. Apparently has been for some time as they are good and comfortable together, exchanging jokes, her face lit up.

Javier walks over to Noelle and slids into the both right next to the teenage boy "Why hello there Noelle. How are you doing? Having fun even though we were not supposed to leave the apartment."

Isabel smiles as she walks over and takes a seat on the other side of the table. She looks back and forth between the two as she listens.

"Oh man." The words are practically a groan and she leans back in the chair, with a roll of her eyes. "I was just taking a stroll, exploring a bit. I'm not a kid. Come on…" The look she gives the pair holds an appeal not to embarrass her in front of the guy, whilst the guy mostly looks confused.

Javier shakes his head "Don't oh man me missy. You just got here… and the first thing you look to do is ditch Isabel the moment my back is turned. We have so much to do… like get you decent clothes and talk about your curfew amongst other things."

Isabel shrugs as she looks to javier, "She didn't really ditch me, I told her she was free to go. Didn't really see a problem with it." She smiles as she looks back to Noelle, "I guess he has some rule for you."

Noelle is dying the death of teenagers everywhere being told off in front of their friends, and she slides down the chair a little more, lifting a hand to cover her eyes. "My clothes are fine and I didn't ditch her, see. She knows I don't need a stupid curfew. Gimme a break?" A grateful look at Isabel shows who is earning brownie points in this situation, and it isn't uncle Javier.

Javier shakes his head "She is not your uncle. She never changed your diapers I did. So what I say goes." When Noelle closes her eyes the teenage boys eyes now just go to Isabel breast… those puppies can't help but to stand out. Javier looks to Isabel "Isabel when you babbysit you do not let the baby go to look after themselves."

Isabel shrugs slightly, "I didn't know i was supposed to be babbysitting her, and I didn't even think she really needed it. She is old enough to go outside for a while." She looks around, "See she isn't in any trouble is she?"

"I am not a baby!" There is pure outrage in that outburst and Noelle is up on her feet, catching that look across to Isabel and crossing her arms across her own chest with a glower at both men. "God, you are as much of a tightwad as Dad is! Isabel is right, I'm not doing anything but getting a drink and a walk." She moves to stand next to the woman, glowering at both of the men.

Javier shakes his head to Isabel "She is not in a lot of trouble no. But we are going home." He look to Noelle "Andd I will carry you out of here if I have to." The teenage boy just shrugs not sure of what he did wrong. Javier now also stands up and looks to the boy "Nice to meet you." He then says "Noel lets go."

Isabel smiles as shegets up and turns to head out, "I guess we can talk more about it when we get home, so it is doesn't cause to much of a scene." She then heads for the door, expecting Noelle to follow without having to be carried around by javier.

"Noelle. Hear the le on the end there?" Noelle is furious, giving Javier really dirty looks as she turns to follow Isabel, ignoring the poor bewildered boy, her footsteps almost a stomp. "Way to go, uncle Javier." The words are a pissy sneer, and she has her hands shoved deeply into her coat's pockets, shoulders hunched, her cheeks scarlet with temper.

Javier looks to place a hand on Noelle shoulder "You will thank me when you get over. In fact will thank me in a few weeks when Christmas is here. Cause Santa knows if you been naughty or nice. And with you current attitude you can expect some coal in your stocking."

Isabel smiles as she looks to javier, "Getting coal must really suck, I wouldn't want to see anyone getting that for Christmas." She looks back over to Noelle. "Don't worry I am sure we can work some thing out."

The look of pure petulance Noelle gives Javier over her shoulder may not be designed to soothe matters over. "God!" Isabel is the only one still in the teenager's good books and she pretty much sulks the whole way back to the apartment.

And yes the teenage boys does take a look at both Isabel and Noelle backside as they go out.

After entering the Condo, you arrive in a small foyer area. To the right of the door is a small coat closet. And to the left, on the same wall as the door is on, seems to be an alarm panel. Javier walks in and says to Isabel "I think a 9:20 curfew is fair on week nights. We can up to 9:45 on weekends." He then adds "Oh and let me guess Isabel you do not cook or wash clothes?"

Isabel shakes her head slightly, "Nope." She moves to take a seat on a couch. She consider suggesting Noelle could wash and cook everything, though she decides to stay on her good side for the moment.
