Antal's Vitals
Name: Antal Zanobi
Race: Vampire
Shortdesc: n/a
Position: Once a frequent presence in Court at the Vampire Council, Antal has managed to keep a rather low profile through his many long years. Those who do recognize him, however, are well aware that he has been La Belle Morte's favored pet for more than a millennium. More recently, he served as Chicago's Master of the City for a time before being recalled to Belle's side. Still more recenty, he has returned to the Windy City, but has taken no active position save that which he held before he left - as owner of La Theatre d'Obscurite and Something Wicked.

General: Not a long-time resident, Antal Zanobi came to Chicago from Europe - France, if his accent is any indication. His rolling baritone purr is easy on the ears, and his occasional lapses into his "native" language have set more than one heart to pattering. He owns a theater - La Theatre d'Obscurite - in the Crimson District, and resides nearby, suggesting he is either a vampire, or somehow affiliated with them. But whatever his affiliations, he is a handsome and charismatic man filled with grace and charm who has found very little difficulty in acquiring anything he wishes.

Vampire: Antal Zanobi is known by few from before his time in Chicago, but those few who do know him have (or pretend to have) a healthy respect for the master vampire who has served his sire - La Belle Morte - for more centuries than most vampires have lived. Initially sent to Chicago to observe the behavior of the 'legalized' vampires, most do not know what Antal's present assignment is, or if he has one. He remains in Chicago, however, now as owner of La Theatre d'Obscurite in the District. From all reports, he remains in contact with the Council directly, though that contact is far less frequent than it once was. But, until he deigns to explain his continued presence and his life's goals, it is likely they will remain as mysterious as the man himself.

  • Was the vampire Master of the City for Chicago, following his imprisonment of Ezra in March of 2002. Remained MotC until he left for Paris in April of 2003, handing the office over to Scarlett.
