Yusef was born near Homs in western Syria. His family immigrated to the United States when he was young and settled in the rural San Joachim Valley of California. He is a jinni, though that is something he casually but habitually hides. Rarely staying in one city for more than a year at a time, he came to Chicago in the pring of 2012. He is most likely to be seen in places that are run down, ruined, or maybe just half-built, and if he is working then he is likely to be found stacking bricks or setting tile.
