General: Detective Sergeant Brian Hadley had been a well-respected member of the Chicago Police Department for 17 years before he rose as a vampire in November of 2008. He's still working homicide, but that respect is a little harder to come by these days for a cop-turned-vampire that's a self-pronounced preter-hater.
