Whatever Nuri is, she's definitely not a native of Chicago. Where she's originally from is anyone's guess, as she's completely accentless in tone, but there's a certain air of desert winds and mystery about her. She seems to be somehow tied to the store Opulence.
Nuri, no last name, is a vampire of Padma's line, centuries old. There's a Girl Friday, a bit of femme fatal rumour about her; a taste of danger she wears as others might wear eyeliner. Some say she is a force of balance, evening the scales. Others say she's a former priestess of Anubis. Some say she's barely been undead a decade. Whatever whispers are true, there are a few that are certain:
Nuri is often seen in the company of Amun, her brother Sebastian and two jackals that are as well behaved as any pair of strictly-trained guard dogs. She has been named one of Amun's enforcers since his taking the position of MotC.
Before moving to Chicago, her last known position was in New Orleans, serving the MotC there, quietly and efficiently.
New Orleans, LA USA
Amun: Friend? Lover? Bossman.
Sebastian: Brother. They tend to have that creepy twin thing going on.
Keme: Old associate from back in New Orleans.
Roderick: Executioner. The two have been seen together a few times. There was no bloodshed involved.
Undertaker by Puscifer: I'm severing the heartline, I'm leaving your corpse behind. Not dead but soon to be; though I won't be the one who kills you. No I'll just leave that all to you… Because I'm not going to be there to revive you. I'm going to be the one to say: I told you so.
Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation: I'm taking it slow, feeding my flame; shuffling the cards of your game. And just in time, in the right place, suddenly I will play my ace.
No Leaf Clover by Metallica: Then it comes to be that the shining light at the end of the tunnel was just a freight train comin' your way…
