S-Mart - Division and LaSalle
Ah, S-Mart. A place to get anything and everything… almost.
Cheap, fast, conveinent: that is the obvious goal for this store. Automatic glass doors line the left and right sides, providing entrance, and right inside and between these is a solid line of registers and check-out lines. One can find just about anything they need for daily life here, plus some. A pharmacy, electronics department, toy section, grocery store, housewares, even places to buy clothing; it's all here. Even a small Taco Shack lies in the back, tucked behind the grocery section, and a video rental store and bank transaction area reside in the front.
When one needs to swing by somewhere on the commute home or during a lunch break to grab a few of the must-haves, this is the place they go.
Cast:
"Oh, well… Maybe I can invite you over for lunch some time?" She chuckles and shakes her head. "Sorry, I'm getting an apartment soon. There… not the mission, that would be weird." She sounds a bit shocked that she could make that mistake. "Do you… have a number? I have one of those pay card ones for now… I can give ya my number? Good to have friends in town, I mean… for me. I dont know many people."
Ahikam giggles softly, "mmm that might be wierd, but yeah, i have a number," after a moment, wiping his hands clean on a napkin, he shifts to pull a cellphone out of his pocket, and sets about the process of trading numbers.
Ailis is sitting at a table with her monster order and has been working at it as the other two talked, hungrily getting thru half of it by now, she had good appetite on her. Then puts the rest of her order back into the bag and rises to to her feet turning to leave the taco shack.
Grey makes his way into the store with a slow stride, his eyes flickering around the interior as he heads almost right for the taco shack in the back, making a beeline for the fast food place. His hands are tucked into the pockets of his pants and his head is slumped down a bit.
Numbers traded Lenore relaxes and then stops. "What name do I put it under?" She hasn't got the kids name yet after all. When the other woman get's up she chuckles. "Can you believe all that food? God, I would be eatting for days." Sipping her tea still as she relaxes and lets Ahikam finish his meal in peace once she puts the phone away.
Ahikam giggles softly, "under Ahikam, ay ach eye, kay ay em," he spells it, "mmmph, that might last me an evening," finish off his steak quesadeas finally, and sipping down the last of his soda.
Ailis smirks as she nears the exit of the taco shack "Kid, that's just small meal" speaking to the two teens sitting together, then snickers before heading on her way to get her cart.
Grey looks over to the two teens and chuckles lightly, but he makes his way to the counter and steps up to it, leaning in and placing a rather… large order. The guy gives him his total, which comes out over thirty and he pays for it before going to sit down and wait for it. He looks over to Ailis, then back to Ahikam and Lenore, his eyes moving on quickly so as not to be rude.
Ailis then chuckles on her way as she hears the man's humungous order, getting her cart and heading to finish her shopping going straight for women's apparel.
Ahikam chuckles softly to himself, nodding to Ailis, and giving Grey a bit of a glance, before just shaking his head, "and i thought i ate well, well thats America for ya," he comments softly, i think i'm gonna call it a night and head home, its getting late after all, i had just stopped in to grab a bite to eat."
Through the bitter, cold and twisting seas of concrete, glass, espestos and asphault, walks Taban. Her slender arms wrap around her as she works hard to rub them with her hands in attempt to keep herself warm with the friction. The kid shivers terribly in the cold of the winter, north wind as it burns agisant her tender flesh and causes a flush of rose to her soft, baby cheeks. The kid hurries through the streets as she makes to find some kind of temporary shelter. It's then that the large, yellow, neon sign flashes in the distance proclaiming one of the local major shopping markets - S-Mart. Quickly she heads in that direction as the building comes ever closer in her view. Making her way through the front electronic doors, the kid steps inside as she tries to shake off the icy coldness from outside. Steadily she takes a look around the room as her deep midnight-blue and violet orbs drink up the situation. Carefully she heads to the grocery part of the store as she makes with easy and stealthy manuevers of her hands to pocket some food into her hoodie. She's careful to look and see who's watching as she keeps an eye out for those that might try and catch her in the act.
Grey is sitting and watching the store, so when the kid begins to pocket food he sighs softy and shakes his head, but he makes no move to stop them. People have to eat after all. But he does turn to the clerk and calls out. "Add an extra number six for teh girl in the hoody that just came in." Then he goes back to watching her and watching the rest of the store, a slight smirk on his lips from teh comments and chuckling from the other people in the store.
"Well, I look forward to seeing you soon. Do you live far? Maybe I can walk you there? It's late." Lenore looks up and smiles at Grey, her eyes wondering to the girl in the hoodie and she frowns, then hears the extra order Grey places and chuckles.
Now most likely this wasn't where she bought her clothes now is it? Not for the most part no, but Ailis could find some cheap panties and bras that matched here and she picked up half a dozen odding them to her cart as well as some socks and playful panties(carebears, tinkerbell, happy bunny). Then paused looking around for ideas of anything else she might need and headed back for the pet department.
S-Mart, where it pays to shop smart. And Shoplifters are shot on sight.. Not really but hey.. A rather dashing clerk is working at the counter in the gun department showing off the finer points of the ten guage shot-gun to a customer. His right hand is a fully functioning prosthetic, allowing him to easily grasp and wield the weapon as he guides the viewer's eye to the different bobbles and bits. That strong manly chin thrusted out as he throws in some witty one liners… Suddenly a scream is heard from the front as someone shouts, "Zombies!"
Jumping up onto the counter, the clerk, who's nametag reads, "Kash" pumps the shotgun and says, "They woulda made me king…" Then as he is still monologing a ghoul pounces off of a nearby tramploine and knocks him to the ground immediately going for the throat as three more run up and down the asiles towards the back.
Ahikam mmms a bit, "actually its a couple miles truthfully… i was just gonna hop a bus, hum do they run this late?" he stops, lifting his head up, zombies?! he glances in the direction of the screams, "holy crap!" he freezes for a moment, eyes wide.
"I think they stopped running a little bit ago…" Lenore sounds really sorry and then wonders to the exit from the taco place. "I can walk you, no trouble…" She drifts off as she hears the sreams and picks up the scent of blood. "Shit, Get back Ahikam." She stands in front of the boy and looks over the scene unfolding.
Ailis groans "Aw fuck meeee…not again? I swear, next it will be flying monkies. Wonder if anyone melts in the rain in this crazy city? First zombies then a giant horned hellboy-man…now zombies again!" deciding to head straight for the meat section of the food department as she ran with cart in that direction full tilt.
Tabby was in the midst of pocketing some oreo snackies when she hears one of the local customers call out another order for her. Immediately she flushes a bright crimson as the blood rushes to her soft baby cheeks as a rather embarassed look plants itself right across her full lips and expressive, gentle features. She turns to look where Grey is as she offers a soft and warm smile, and was about to say something to the effect of 'Hey thanks', until that is the sharp shrill pitch of a scream breaks through the otherwise stable environment. As she hears the name 'zombies' cried out the teen lowers her head once more as she shake s it. Her soft tone murmured in annoyance as he comments quietly, "Fuck…not again." Placing what food she had taken into her hoodie, the girl moves with a quickness to avoid the oncoming attack. As she sees the man with the shotgun go down, the youth makes her way on over there and hopefully before he's eaten alive. On the way and passing the sports section, the kid takes up a solid metal bat as she makes her way on over to where Kash is, then tries her best to get the zombie's attention, "Hey! Leatherface…over here rotting asstard!"
Grey hears the screaming and he sighs. He stands up from his position at his table and shrugs his way out of his jacket. He moves into the store then, heading towards teh front where the cry of Zombies came from. "Someone at every fucking door, they'll try any exit they can find." He himself is moving towards the things that have tackled the clerk to the floor intent on ripping them off of him and ripping them apart.

As the Zombies find their prey in the crowded store, it would appear the one on Kash recognizes Taban as it rises up and turns to run, making her chase him as another comes at the bat iwelding girl when she turns a corner. Claws slashing across the girl's cheek as back by Lenore one of the ghouls comes towards her in a balls out rush though as she steps back it rams its entire body into glass.. As for Ailis heading back towards the meat depart I wonder who considers that a good idea when ghouls eat meat… Never the less. She actually is unassaulted though a small child is quite literally scooped up before her and its stomach is bitten into.. the little obses child's legs still running mid air as it is held.

Ahikam slips out of his chair to the floor, scrambling back to the wall, he could feel now that there were strangely a number of shifters in here! he expected he was the weakest, and a number of people seem to be standing up to move to do things, he grabs his cellhone back out of his pocket again, flipping it open, and quickly pressing three little numbers and dialing with it.

Into his cellphone, Ahikam says, "a number of zombies just attacked the S-mart at the corner of Division and La Salle! people are being hurt! i think one of the clerks was brought down, i don't know how badly hes been hurt, oh geeze! i think one of them just grabbed a kid!"
Into his cellphone, Ahikam says, "thank you! i think some people are grabbing weapons and fighting back"

Lenore acts reflexively and turns to whack the Zombie closest to her and pulls back quick as she didn't seem to do that on purpose. Ducking back toward Ahikam she makes sure to block the kid from any attacks that might head this way.

When the zombie on the clerk Kash sees her and starts to run, Tabby follows after it at a quick pace, though turning the corner another seems to pop out of nowhere and rather violently claw the right side of her cheek. Blood trickles down fluidly as her cheek reddens and swells from the attack. The kid takes one look at the one that struck her as she frowns deeply and states quietly under her breath, "Fucker, you're goin' back to the grave." And with that swings the metal bat as hard as she can at its head and making a rather nice connection there as she caves in part of its head.

Ailis running at the living dead ordering take out on a lil kid, who could admittedly use less weight to him, but still that diet was a little extreme! She punches the thing in the head with a quick one two that gives it a good dent in its dome.

As Ailis runs up and decks the Zombie, it whirls about on her, and prompts bring sup those razor like fingers and slits her gullet for punching him in the head. A snarl coming for his undead lips as a wild look carries in his eyes.
The other fighting Taban over the corpse of Kash bats away the bat and leans in, biting down on the flesh of her arm through the jacket though not quite getting a good grip it sounds painful as it tears away a chunk of flesh.
Meanwhile in the back the one fighting Lenore spins about and catches her across the abdomen with a claw. A glancing blow though as she moves back out of the way. The other ghoul near the front has managed to tackle a kid that was running with crutches and is currently attempting to pull the casted leg off like one would a drum stick.

Lenore hisses a bit as the claw catches and then she decides to return the favor. Slashing as she pops the claws and catches the bastard under the jaw with an upward swipe. Once that's done she looks back toward Ahikam making sure he's alright.

After her first initial swing with the metal bat into its skull the zombie seems to take advantage of the closeness in Tabby's distance and with a strong force leans in as she swings outward and takes a chunk out of her left arm. The kid screams out in pain as she nearly almost drops the bat, though manages to keep a hold of it as she swings again and into the beast, though this time she manages to do a bit more damage as the bat knocks the creature back a bit and crushes some of those rotting ribs.

Ailis growls as she narrows her eyes at the zombie and snarls "Ok Cript Keeper, that actually stung, now it's my turn again" with that she wipes a hand across her neck where it's already healing and jabs the zombie in the head for another left -right at it's face knocking its jaw crooked.

And the brawls continue. Uncaring of the panic going on about them as Lenore is swiped at once more, the ghoul seeming to be giving it all he's got. Really though all of the creatures seem to be about in the same bad shape.. Except for that one up fron that is has now worked that chicken bone off of the man and is dining upon the wound.
The one fighting lenore growls as he is slashsed by the shifter's claws and slashes back with his own talons, cutting her arm. As that savage hungry and paniced look sets into its eyes.
After taking another bat to the face, the one Taban is squared off with lunges with its claws slashing deeply into her arm.
Sadly for the cocky little Ailis who is bare knuckle brawling this as she breaks the creature's jaw it reopens that wound that was closing… Without mercy.

Lenore growls as she takes another minor hit. Pushing forward with her left hand she manages to miss the ambling zombie and then spins to hit the beasts back with her next attack, twisting a bit.

As the zombie on Tabby takes a good slash at her arm, blood streams down agasint her sunkissed flesh and staining there on her hoodie as it seeps into the grey cloth. The kid winces painfully as another light cry slips from past her full lips. Gritting her teeth and baring past the pain the youth swings once more as hard as she can as she grunts out loud, "Fucker…DIE damn you!"

Ailis yelps as her throat is reopened deeper then before, baring her teeth at the zombie as she growled deep in her chest and answered it's one attack with her two fists. Running away wouldn't solve anything, so why not stay and fight?

Aaron shows up in full tac gear and and with a riot shot gun, he runs inside and shots the first ghoul he happens to see, that being the one on the cashier, Aiming his shot gun and firing twice.
That shotgun doesn't really seem all that effective in Arron's hands in all honesty.. The ghoul is caught in the side and the second one catches the beasty in the shoulder causing it to get up and bolt, as do the others.. It seems they've had enough of this fight and are doing their level best to escape from the folks who've just beeen putting up too much of a defense. In a show of undead fear and Parkour they start hopping over everything they can to make the shortest distance ebtween them and the back where they came.

Lenore notices the zombies try to flee and jumps the one who's given her so much trouble tearing through it like tissue paper. Looking back she yells to Ahikam. "Run, get the fuck out while you still can." With that she is off like a flash tearing the one off Ailis and continuing after the rest. After all the ones who are running have her beast very aggrivated considering all the carnage the bastards are attempting to leave behind.

Taban pulls back her back once more as she takes another hard swing at the monstrosity. Beads of sweat draw at her fair brow as blood seeps from her right cheek and left arm and coating her clothes in the crimson fluid. She grits her teeth as she seems to be out of word for the moment, possibly hurting too much to bother speaking or yelling, other then in pain.

Ailis despite the fierce look on her lil scrapper face, Ailis' strength just isn't behind her fists anymore as she throws a one-two punch that's lil more then a friendly punch to the shoulder, Hey dead and ugly wanna catch a movie?

Aaron fires, hits the ghoul and the civilain.. killing the civ and not his intended target, bad cop, badge pelase.
The Ghoul runs, just runs, straight out towards the exit even as it's side is hit by another blast of the shotgun, showing no signs of stopping, even as the second shot caues a nearby cowering woman's head to explode in gore.
Taban seems to be struggling wiht the bat as her left arm isn't doing so well and her healing abilities don't seem to be quite catching up to the amount of damage that she's taken. With a last swing at the zombie's head, she actually she misses as she swings wide possibly due to the stress on her mind and body. Though luckily the zombie seems to be in worse condition for the wear as it suddenly bolts off towards the exit, though unfortuantely Tabby is a good too puckered out to give chase and simply drops the arm holding the bat to her side. WIth a long hard breath she looks down at where Ailis is then offers a stretched out hand to her, "You ok?" The look on her soft features are worn as she seems fairly fatigued, luckily though the polcie seem to be taking care of the rest and scaring off those undead that remain.

Ailis breathes heavily as she covered the wound on her neck with one hand and took Taban's hand in her other to pull herself back to her feet "I'm not dead yet"

Aaron unloads the shot gun, the loaded rounds clatter to the ground and the shotgun is soon slammed into the concrete floor before the man moves the woman, her eyes open, he kneels down and closes them.
Barreling through the back the undead critter unceremoniously dives through the open manhole cover in the rear. Then slowly dark bony claws reach out and pull it shut. They'll go get some food from elsewhere.
Taban takes Ail's hand as she helps hoist her up, which takes some effort with the condition that's she in, though despite this, she seems to have enough energy within her as her body finally starts to really catch up on healing itself, most likely due to the fact that she's out of combat. Looking down to Ail, Tabby smiles though it takes an effort as she answers back in what she tries to attempt as a light jest, possibly trying to make light of the situation, "Not dead yet eh? Just a flesh wound?" The comment given from some older type of film though the humor lost probably in the amount of carnage ther is around them. Looking on over towards Aaron the kid offers him a sincere and warm smile. "You saved our lives…remember that, and I for one won't forget it." Her appreciation given to the cop, she turns to guide Ail out of the building as she commetns quietly, "We shoudln't stay here…come on, I'll take you to a safe place." And with that, and if Ail follows, Tabby will lead her outside and inot the darkness of night.
Aaron flips out a phone and calls for medical support.
Ailis snickers and winces "Something like that, just been my lucky day I guess. My clothes are ruined, but it could've been worse. I'll be fine" but she lets Tabby lead her out all the same as she wasn't exactly up to defending herself if something came up on her way home.
