General: Prior to 2004, Samuel was a Philosophy and History professor at the University of Chicago. Then he had some sort of nervous breakdown after a car accident which caused his psychic powers to manifest. After some time living in a bottle he pulled his life back together and started using his abilities to help the police. Now he works as a professional investigator and is the co-owner (along with Gema Morgan) of the Logos Investigation Agency.
Social_sciences: Samuel has PhDs in History (dissertation entitled 'A Foucauldian Epistimelogical Analysis of the Three Kingdoms Period of Korea') and Philosophy (dissertation entitled 'The World of Becoming: A Deleuzian Explication of The Middle Way In Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism').
