A place of casual hanging out, the room has an 'L'-shaped layout. Dark wood is the predominate theme, with hardwood floors, wall paneling, bar, and matching tables and chairs. The long and straight bar takes up the majority of the right wall, lighted by hidden bulbs and neon signs advertising various alcoholic beverages, these reflected in its smooth polished surface. Two to three bartenders serve customers seated on stools, from walls lined with about any drink imaginable, and a waitress will appear from the kitchen now and again to cover small 'pub food' orders. Taking up the back wall are four pool tables and dart boards, set off from a few booths and small round tables.

One section of the interior wall almost opens to the dancefloor below. A fine polarized black mesh set about a high railing cuts out much of the flashing lights and rhythmic beats from drifting upwards, and also prevents folks from falling downwards. The opposite wall bears short but wide windows high up by the ceiling, looking out to 'foot level' of the outside street.

Hours of Operation: SUN-WED: 3pm - 2am THU-SAT: 3pm-5am
Special Nights:

  • Mondays: 'Makin Music Mondays' Karaoke night! (9pm-Midnight)
  • Wednesdays: 'Wild Wednesdays' - you never know what Wednesday holds - wet t-shirts or best bods - maybe even couples contests! Winner(s) receive cash prize of $200! Have a suggestion? Send it to Gage and if it gets picked, you get $50! (10pm-11pm)
  • Thursdays: 'Live Band' night - if you want to be featured, contact Gage. (Band set times from: 9pm-1am)

Down in the club, several couches of many rich colors and leathers are arranged in a secluded manner, the circle of these sharing their organic pattern with the curvy bar that lies further to the right. With built-in containers that resemble huge lava lamps and matching wall decorations, the bar snakes about the far wall. A few tables are spaced around this area along with the couches and separated from the large dance floor by a waist-high black railing; bartenders serve these two sections with almost any drink imaginable. A raised stage takes up the opposite corner, hosting wet t-shirt contests, amateur performers, live bands or DJ in their absence, and many other shows of entertainment.

Bouncers (like Celeste) patrol with an immensely tolerable eye, and the attitude of its patrons matches the plush crimson walls, dark polished furniture, stone tiled floors, and mixture of flashing and black lights.

Apartments (floors 2, 3, and 4)

1170145434.jpg

The apartments at The Basement tend around 1,000 square feet, generally between one large studio-style room with a small bathroom and kitchenette, or a wide living room with a bedroom and kitchen/dining room in back, or four rooms 12' square each.

The trend of hardwood floors continue into the apartments, often with rugs instead of wall to wall carpeting, the wall-paint tends towards pine green or eggshell white, and the heating by means of hot-water accordion-style radiators (although it is not unheard of for folks to divert the gas-line to the kitchen and set up gas fireplaces)
